About chocobi

Nostalgic and it's great that it was available on your website

Not spicy but very very sour

With high expectations of it being one of the most celebrated snacks of all time in the U.S. I ordered Takis and was really hoping that they would be spicy. But, unfortunately, they turned out to be very sour, like take a roasted corn of cob and douse it with nothing but lime; that's the flavour that you would get. Nothing but lime - no chili, no salt, no other spices but lime. Not great, will not order again.

Stale taste, not the same Crunch

The taste was stale. It doesn't taste like the classic Crunch I used to eat as a kid.

This is the last time I'll ever order from this site. All you people do is sell crappy, expensive products.

Oreo Enrobed White Chocolate (246g)

Not as expected in its 'entirety'.

This product contains ‘Oreo’ original cookies in ‘Enrobed White’ variant.
Usually available for purchase throughout the world in the winter season, the ‘Oreo’ cookies in this product are covered or ‘enrobed’ in white ‘fudge’ coating (43%).
One receives a total of 6 packs inside of the 'box', with each pack containing 2 ‘enrobed’ cookies.
The white ‘fudge’ coating is comparable to the white confectionery coating utilised in the ‘White’ variant of “Reese’s” ‘Peanut Butter Cups’ and other ‘White’ “Reese’s” products.
It does not have a sickeningly or artificial ‘sweetness’ to it. It might even be interpreted as ‘bland’ by people with a ‘sweet tooth’. However, people not fond of ‘sugary’ sweets could be pleased with the same.
The ‘Oreo’ cookies retain their characteristic ‘crunch’ or ‘bite’ and flavour.
The seemingly ‘Cookies & Cream’ flavour combination is not entirely delivered on, due in part to the relative ‘blandness’ of the ‘white’ component.
However, the cookies can be paired with a hot beverage of one’s choice.
I have had this product before, way back in the year 2019, with a slightly different packaging.
The packs I had received back then had a ‘polar bear’ printed onto them, with the ‘box’ itself representing a ‘snowy landscape’. The cookies and the ‘white’ component together were scrumptious! It was apparently manufactured in the US.
The box I purchased and received via ‘Snackstar India’, is not clearly indicative of its country of origin. This is not to negate the quality of the product. However, the need to state facts cannot be disregarded.
Overall, it is left to one’s discretion when considering the purchase of this product.

ORION Strawberry Filled Choco-Pie

A marked improvement on the 'Original'.

This product from brand ‘Orion’ contains a total of 12 individually-wrapped ‘Choco Pie’ in ‘Strawberry’ variant.
I purchased 1 unit of ‘Orion’ original ‘Choco Pie’ from a local grocery store, for purposes of comparison.
The original and ‘Strawberry’ variants are both composed of cake sponge layers covered in chocolate, with a vanilla-flavoured marshmallow filling. The difference lies in the ‘Strawberry’ variant containing a thin layer of strawberry filling (9.3%) atop the marshmallow filling.
The original variant comes across as ‘dry’ upon taste. While the filling supports the ‘Pie’ to an extent, it does seem to need an additional component so as to help ‘mask’ the ‘dryness’. This variant can be paired up with a beverage of one’s choice.
The ‘Strawberry’ variant overcomes the shortcoming of the original variant via the added ‘Strawberry’ filling. It not only supports the other components well enough, but also prevents the mouth from drying out when the ‘Pie’ is consumed.
It contains strawberry pulp (39%), which is felt strongly: a grit and ‘tartness’ akin to that when consuming actual strawberry fruit. It is quite pleasant, complementing the other components very well. This variant can be had on its own, not necessitating pairing with a beverage of one’s choice.
The sweetness levels in both variants are apt.
Both variants of ‘Choco Pie’ contain ‘polyols’, which, as stated below the list of ingredients, may have laxative effects. People suffering from any gastrointestinal problem or a sensitive stomach are advised to exercise caution.
Overall, the ‘Strawberry’ variant of ‘Choco Pie’ is worth trying out.
